The Customer-Driven Supply Chain (CDSC) Management Model is somehow an anticyclic movement to rebalance the importance of the customer in the organization. A similar effect has enabled the so-called Demand-Driven Supply Chain (DDSC) Management Model.

Both CDSC and DDSC Models were presented a few years later than the IBP, which suggested the focus on financial reconciliation. The CDSC followed a pattern similar to IBP’s, proposing a change of importance from product—now to the customer.
